- The contract is concluded electronically. The Provider does not file it, but the current Terms are always available on the website, and orders are confirmed by email.
- The Provider has not subscribed to a code of conduct.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your data. You can correct input errors at any time before submitting the registration or order.
4. Registration and account
- The Service is currently available by invitation: an account can be created with a valid invite code.
- You must be at least 16 to create an account. Paid plans may be purchased by persons aged 18 or over, or by minors with the consent of their legal representative.

- You are responsible for keeping your password secret. Tell us immediately if you think someone has accessed your account.
- The Provider may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms (see section 12).
5. The Service
- Tipply is a learning service that works from the User’s own material. Its main features are:
- uploading and processing material (in any common format);
- answering questions only from the material, with the source shown;
- practice questions, flashcards, exam rehearsals and repeating weak spots;
- the Tipply browser extension, which on a keypress shows what the material says about the practice question on screen.
- Availability of features depends on the plan. Some features become available gradually; the web app shows what is currently available.
- Artificial intelligence. The Service uses artificial intelligence. AI content is generated by a machine and may be inaccurate or wrong. The Provider shows the source with every answer so that the User can check it. AI content is not professional (for example legal, medical or financial) advice.
- The browser extension. The extension reads the current page’s question and answer options only when the User acts (hotkey or button). It never fills in, selects or submits anything on the User’s behalf. For text answers it places the answer on the clipboard, which the User may use at their own discretion.
6. Fair use and academic integrity
- The Service is made for learning and practice. It is not allowed to use the Service (including the browser extension) in a graded exam, test, assignment or any other assessment, or in any situation prohibited by the rules of the educational institution.
- The User alone is responsible for the consequences of using the Service, including compliance with institutional rules.
- It is also not allowed to:
- query the Service in bulk with automated tools or circumvent limits;
- reverse engineer, modify or circumvent the security of the Service;
- upload unlawful content, content infringing others’ rights, or malicious code;
- deliberately disrupt or overload the Service.
7. Uploaded material and intellectual property
- Rights in uploaded material remain with the User or the rights holder.
- The User warrants that they are entitled to upload the material and use it for their own study, and that uploading it does not infringe any third party’s copyright or other rights.
- By uploading material, the User grants the Provider a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence for the term of the contract to store, process and display the material to the User solely to provide the Service. The Provider does not publish the material, share it with other users or use it to train artificial intelligence.
- Reporting infringing content. If you believe content in the Service infringes your rights, report it at [[email protected]]. The Provider acts under section 13 of Hungarian Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commerce.
- The Service’s software, design, name, logo, shared subjects prepared by the Provider and all other elements are the intellectual property of the Provider or the rights holder and may not be copied, distributed or exploited beyond normal use of the Service.
8. Plans, credits and material slots
- Plans. Current plans, their contents and prices are on the Pricing page. Prices include VAT. Prices are shown in euro and, for consumers in Hungary, also in forint. [Currency of payment: e.g. the forint price for consumers in Hungary.]
- Credits. Paid plans include a monthly number of credits. The allowance resets at the start of each billing period; unused credits do not roll over and cannot be exchanged for money. The Free trial comes with a one-time allowance.
- Credit use. The credits a question costs depend on the model and the answer type:
| Question type | Fast | Balanced | Strongest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Multiple choice | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| Fill-in-the-blank | 2 | 4 | 10 |
| Essay | 10 | 20 | 50 |
Processing scanned pages and photos costs 1 credit per page. Current credit prices are on the Pricing page.
- Material slots. A slot holds one material. A filled slot cannot be emptied or filled with another material; each new material needs a new slot. A slot may hold a document of up to [350] pages.
- Offers. The Provider may run time-limited offers (for example a founding member discount for the first month). The conditions, duration and the price after the offer are shown when the offer is announced. Only one offer applies to a plan at a time.
- Price changes. The Provider may change prices. We will notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect; the new price applies from the next billing period. If you do not accept it, you can cancel free of charge before it takes effect.
9. Payment and invoicing
- Fees are paid by card through [payment provider, e.g. SimplePay]. Card data is handled only by the payment provider; the Provider has no access to it.
- The monthly fee is charged automatically to the card you provided at the start of each billing period (recurring payment) until you cancel. You expressly consent to recurring payment when ordering.
- The Provider issues an electronic invoice and sends it to your email address.
- If a charge fails, the Provider will notify you and may restrict paid features until payment is made.
10. Renewal, cancellation and termination
- The monthly subscription runs for an indefinite period and renews automatically every month.
- You can cancel at any time on the Account page or by email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; until then the plan remains usable.
- Fees for a started billing period are not refunded, unless the law provides otherwise (in particular the right of withdrawal in section 11 and the rules on non-conformity).
- You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time. This ends the contract, and your material and account data are deleted as set out in the Privacy notice.
- The Provider may terminate the contract without giving reasons with 30 days’ notice; in that case it refunds the unused part of any prepaid period pro rata.
11. Right of withdrawal
- Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving reasons, under Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.).
- To withdraw, send a clear statement, for example by email to [[email protected]], or use the model form in Annex 1. The deadline is met if you send the statement before it expires.
- Immediate performance. A paid plan becomes available immediately after payment. If you expressly request that the service starts before the withdrawal period ends:
- if you withdraw within the period, you must pay for the part of the service provided until withdrawal, pro rata or by the credits used;
- if the service is fully performed within the period and you expressly acknowledged beforehand that you lose your right of withdrawal once it is performed, the right of withdrawal ends.
- If you withdraw, the Provider refunds the amount due within 14 days of learning of the withdrawal, using the same payment method, at no extra cost to you.
12. Suspension and exclusion
- The Provider may suspend or close an account after prior notice, or immediately in serious cases, if the User:
- breaches the prohibitions in section 6;
- uploads unlawful content;
- shares or sells the account;
- endangers the security of the Service.
- The Provider informs the User of the reason and gives them the opportunity to respond, unless this would be unlawful or endanger security.
13. Availability and non-conformity
- The Provider aims for continuous availability but does not guarantee that the Service will run without interruption or error. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.
- Conformity of the digital service is governed by the Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and Government Decree 373/2021 (VI. 30.) on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services.
- In case of non-conformity, the consumer may first ask for the service to be brought into conformity. If this is impossible or not done within a reasonable time, the consumer may ask for a proportionate price reduction or, if the lack of conformity is not minor, terminate the contract.
- The Provider supplies the updates needed for the Service to keep working.
14. Liability
- The Provider is not liable for the accuracy of AI content, or if a decision or study result based on AI content does not turn out as expected.
- The Provider is not liable for consequences of use prohibited in section 6, including sanctions imposed by an educational institution.
- The Provider is not liable for damage caused by faults in the User’s devices, internet connection or third-party services.
- These limitations do not apply to liability for intentional, grossly negligent or criminal breaches, or for breaches causing harm to life, physical integrity or health, and they do not affect the mandatory rights of consumers.
15. Complaints and enforcement
- You can make complaints at [[email protected]] or by post to [postal address]. We answer written complaints in writing, on the merits, within 30 days, and keep the complaint record and our answer for 3 years.
- If we reject your complaint or the dispute cannot be settled, consumers may turn to the conciliation board competent for their place of residence or stay, or for the Provider’s registered office: [name, address and contact of the conciliation board at the competent chamber of commerce]. The Provider must cooperate in the conciliation board’s procedure.
- Consumers may also contact the consumer protection authority (the county government office competent for their residence) or go to court.
- For cross-border consumer disputes, the European Consumer Centre Hungary (https://magyarefk.hu) can help.
16. Privacy
The processing of personal data is governed by Tipply’s Privacy notice, available on the website.
17. Changes to these Terms
- The Provider may change these Terms. We will notify you by email and on the website at least 15 days before changes take effect, or at least 30 days before material changes to your disadvantage.
- If you do not accept the changes, you can end the contract free of charge before they take effect. Continued use of the Service means acceptance.
18. Governing law
The contract is governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Civil Code, Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) and Government Decree 373/2021 (VI. 30.). This does not deprive consumers of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence.
